Hello all! I just got a 2012 Tacoma single cab after me and my 2011 Tacoma collided with a deer. Love this truck - small but not to small with just enough power to make MaMa happy. I do have one problem tho. I think this issue might be only a single cab issue as it occurred in my 2011 also. I see the reflection of my dashboard being reflected off my rear window when I look in my rearview mirror. It gets in the way of a clear view of what is behind me. Quite a distorted view. Anyone experience that and what can I do. Think because the rearview mirror and back window are so close it's creating a double image. Thoughts?

Any pictures you can post? Kind of hard to picture what’s occurring with the description you wrote

I see the lights of the center section of the dash, particularly the AC indicators, reflecting at night. Doesn't hurt my view, but it took a little getting used to since I wasn't expecting anything behind me.

I have an access cab. I also have an auto dim mirror I added, and it works. I'm not sure if tinting the rear window would help any, but it will somewhat restrict night vision. More noticeable the older you get. :anonymous:

Maybe try a temporary tint of some kind to test the idea. Static cling stuff or something?

I see it to, but it doesn't bother me. I also keep the gauges at half brightness though

When I look in my rearview mirror I see what is behind me but also the reflection of my dashboard. Might be hard to take a pic of that but will try. I was thinking that because it is a single cab and the rear window is right behind my head, that that created some sort of weird reflection.

I already keep my dash lights dimmed - but thanks for that sug. I might try the static cling thing. And yes Clearwater Bill - a number of things get weird when one gets older. Pushin 70 but my head still says 35 so I'm goin with that. Just an old hippy and yes I still have beads in my doorways. LOL
