ED9502A1-915F-4AFD-806E-DBAD5E7392FE.jpg Hello, I am starting the process of upgrading my 2016 Tacoma. I know its been asked a million times but do 285's fit WITH a 3 inch lift ? Also, do the SR5 vs TRD [both 285's, 3" lift] sit at different heights after the lift ? (I wouldn't think so)
I've seen photos but I don't know how to message people directly. Was there any trimming ? Is the rubbing when fully turned ?
    Pictures would be appreciated.

yes it will, I have a 4 in lift and running 285's and it slightly rubs on the inner wheel well at full lock going in reverse. my buddy has a trd offroad with 285's as well but with a 2.5 in lift and it rubs a decent amount. both him and I have not done any kind of trimming and its still fine. it doesn't rub to the point where you have to trim. we hit trails all the time and drive pretty rough but with a 3 in lift, you should be fine.

It all depends on your wheel. From what I’ve read you need a wheel with 0 offset. Anything positive or negative will cause you to rub and require modification :sawzall:

a 3" lift alone will not guarantee no trim and no cmc alot more factors involved

Okay, decent. Only when fully turned, and I can still go off-roading.
“CMC” ? Don’t know what that is, I’ll have to look into it.
I think the offset of the rims I was looking at were -4.
