UCAs?

    this might be a dumb question, but are UCA's required for an OME BP51 lift kit or OME ARB lift?

    Depends on how much the lift. If you can still get your front wheels aligned properly on the factory UCA then it's not required. The benefit of an aftermarket UCA is to get your wheels within proper spec even with a significant lift. There are also a lot of us that purposely align our front wheels with positive caster so that we can stuff larger tires. If you do that you need a UCA that can handle the added stress.

    awesome good info. i dont want a super huge lift probably just 2" and the tires im looking at are 265 70 17

    UCA's are recommended when approaching and going over 2.5" of lift.

    it's not just about the lift itself... it's about the alignment. that can bring in your driving preferences since some like more caster and others don't care. if you want more caster, you'll need UCA's.
