Tacoma wave?

If anything...I give the thumbs up though to any off-roader that looks like it hits more than the mall. Unfortunately I almost never give jeepers props these days as most have all this armor and flashy stuff, yet not one scratch on them like they roll to a car show in my area.

 

With new people joining everyday, he could either bump an ancient thread or make a new one. Sorry if it's repetitive, but it's a way for new members such as myself to explore the topic and be involved and get to know each other

 

Its probably just the person/truck your waving to. It could be all stock and they have no clue. Most people with some money into their rig notice and oblige and others who will wave just simply love a good Toyota. Keep it up and kill em' with kindness. It will catch on.

 

all my mods are a secret. just wheels, tires, tint, and tonneau show. i get no luv. but i'm also not askin for any.

 

It's because Jeeps break down really often, so they are actively cultivating a friendly network to look out for each when the inevitable breakdown occurs.

I haven't seen a fellow Quicksand owner that hasn't waved, thumbs up, or threw "hang loose" at me. None of the other colors do though.

My Heep. Must be towed, they tend to break down. I get everything from thumbs up, down, waves, and the 1 finger salute. I respond appropriately.

 

Exactly! With some money in your rig with mods, you constantly have your eyes peeled for enthusiasts alike.
Motorcycle owners do the same thing. Some won't wave and don't give two sh*ts. Most do. Some are legally blind and shouldn't drive.

 

I don't care what anyone says, I make an effort to wave at Tacoma's because they have good taste and want to acknowledge that they have a great truck, modded or not

 

Because 80% of Tacoma's are either work trucks or owned by soccer dads. And there's like a bizillion more of them on the road than Jeeps.

It's the small sales vehicles that tend to garner the waving crowd. Miatas, S2000's, old cars. And Jeeps.

*Maybe* a visibly modded Tacoma, (one with more than a mere level lift, black wheels and aggressive looking tires) will respond.

If you just go for the masses, you'll be exhausted and suffering from wavers elbow soon.

PS. No one wants to wave at my lowly white 5 lug. It looks like an unmarked pest control truck. Which is fine by me, as that means it doesn't catch the LEOs eye much either.

Once upon a time, I owned a 66 VW Beetle. Would get the wave constantly.

With my Taco not so much. I do get the occasionally dirty look from Cement Pro owners when I encounter them. Lol.
Oh, and I’ve noticed Tacoma’s tend to want to park next to each other.

I wave at each and every one. If they don’t wave back, fuck ‘em
