As am I. I’m going to go a different route body wise but fame work very similar. Got a daughter coming in 2 months. It’ll basically be her camp trailer. Solo camping I don’t plan on bringing it.

Just scored a set of FJ Cruiser 17” wheels. Wrapping them in my first set of 225 Maxx that are sitting in the attic.

2 months? It’s going fast. Although, I’m sure your Wife would disagree. AND, she’s already going to have her very own camp trailer? Lucky kid

Don’t let her talk to Chux’s daughter. You’ll have to build her a trailer too :D

Dude this things coming out so well! Any reason you went the bolt route to put the roof on and not simply rivet them?

Thank you Mike. A couple actually.

Where it’s bolted it’s a couple of layers thick with a space in between. Rivets just wouldn’t have worked.

I also wanted to fit it before painting it. Now I can take it back off easily to paint the pieces where they meet before putting it back together.

Also, if the roof is ever damaged, I can change it much more easily.

    Roof rack

I found this 36” piece of 1/8” angle. So, I made four 9” feet. The feet sit over 1/4” side reinforcements that the original owner of the trailer added. (Last pic)

I bolted the feet on through the holes that I made to attach the roof skin.

I bought these oval light boxes off eBay. I was planning to hang them off the rear frame, but I realized that the hitch carrier will block them. If I’m towing this trailer, chances are, I’ll have my cooler.

So what’s your though process on the box lights?

I would think a couple of LED strip lights under that bottom lip would work great!

The light boxes hold standard oval truck / trailer lights, and have 2” round marker light cut outs on the side.

I bought oval LED truck lights that are stop, signal, & parking lights. They are also dual color and have white reverse lights.

That’s why I bought a 7 pin harness. So I can have reverse lights.

Thanks Jim. I’m not. It’s all scaley and needs to be ground down. That kills the look anyway.
