Man, these have gone up in price. I just checked them against BFG KO2's in 265/75/16's. BFG's were SLIGHTLY cheaper (by $2/tire).

The sizes I have been looking at at my installer are $100 less than the BFGs. 144 vs 250

I had 265/65/17s and I loved em. Very good traction, I felt like my 2WD was a 4x4 with them on. I only went with HT tires cuz 265/65s were sold out everywhere, I tried the 265/70s and gas went down a mpg or 2, you won't be disappointed.

You have any pics of the 265/65 17s on your truck? Maybe I'll just go with stock size. I want a beefier look, but maybe just going with more aggressive tires in general will get me what I want without changing sizes.

Can somebody explain the whole HT thing to me. I don't know what that's all about

I just mean Highway Tread, I drive 99 percent highway so HT tires gave me a smoother quiet ride, the draw back is I don't feel like my Tacoma can go anywhere off-road now. But it's okay. I plan on going back to GG AT2 when I new a new set again. Most off-road I do is hopping a curb to get out of traffic. Let me see if I have pics.

I don't do much of road driving either. I'm looking at these tires just to get a more "truck" look. Highway tires are so wimpy looking. I'm open to other tire suggestions that will give me a better look without sacrificing mpgs and/or road noise. Keep em coming!

I figured out also that 265/65s are not always stocked at tire shops. And seems like they all carry 265/70s so if you blow your tire out you're probably gonna have to order it. And you have more options with 265/70s I also learned. You may also look into Nitto Terra Grapplers G2. My wife has them on her 4runner and they seem nice and quiet for an aggressive tire.

They do hold rocks pretty good, but so does every other AT tire I've ever had.

Good tire, not quiet as stock, but quite tolerable. Make sure you are comparing same load ratings.

Great tires for the price! Perform well in all conditions for me and I've had em about a year.

Side note, Ive had trouble getting them balanced properly but multiple shops. That or something else is causing a vibration :D

When I got the sharp ones (rocks)in the tread , all I could do was think about the edges being pushed into the tire on every revolution and causing a flat . When i parked , I found myself spending WAY to much OCD time picking stones out of my tires lol . I like the Wranglers with Kevlar as I do not have this problem with this . Not as aggressive , but seem to do the trick for where I drive.
