Nice, but it would look SO much better without the scooped hood.
I'd be willing to bite the bullet and swap you my AWESOME non-scooped hood just to help a member out.

I actually have test driven a couple non-sport models like the off-road because I was considering it this time around.

because I’ve had a sports since 2005, I just couldn’t get past all that flap realestate out in front of me. That is a huge hood without the scoop to break it up! (IMO)

Looks sexy, that's for sure. But it better for that price. I like the Old School look to it, but then again, I am Old School.
I think before I took the plunge I would exhaust all efforts of a swap on the forum. Keep in mind, that cost doesn't include color matched paint. Although, plastidipped or rattle can flat black might not be so bad a look for 10 more bucks.

True That... luckily I know a guy for paint but still. I would have to be completely out of mods to spend $300 on a hood scoop.

Actually, if you are putting out this kind of coin and it is a bolt on, you may as well go the full monty and make it a seamless addition by adding the body filler and repaint the whole hood. That would be the right way to do it and totally how a custom job should be.

On the other hand, mine is bolted down and has seams.

Actually that price does include color matched paint. The unpainted ones are $100 less.

I have definitely seen where people can take accenting to a absolute over kill level. There is something to be said for simple and clean. I custom build Harleys and live and breathe and preach this principle because just like our truck, people can definitely take Harley’s way past clean and elegant

Yea, mine is the OEM Sport hood. I do like the look though and it does not interfere visually. And I am short and recline my seat a little more than most people.

Cool, I used to have a 1982 XLS Roadster that I took apart about 4 times and rebuilt. I've had 4 Harleys. My last one was a Tri-Glide Ultra Classic. And yes, I modded the hell outta that. LOL
