    Very nicely put!

I'm not forcing anyone to do anything here. If you'd like to join in, please do so! If not, I completely understand. Either way, I have put this together for myself and others who are interested. I'm not getting any breaks here and now understand why people are reluctant to do any favors or acts of kindness towards their fellow man.

To those that see a great product here and have the want for a discounted long range fuel tank, thank you for your interest! More to come...

Thank you for the pm. If you would like help, I’ll do what I can. Valley Hybrids is about an hour and fifteen minutes worth of a drive for me. I can walk through the door and talk to George. I have bought FJ40 parts from him in the past. Let’s try and redirect this in a positive way.

Thank you, I appreciate that. Any help is appreciated at this point.

This is a great upgrade. I hope this group buy works out well so that there will be repeats in the future (when I can afford it!).

Do you have a link to the tank for the 3rd Gen, and has it been confirmed that it fits? Thanks

If whoever you talked to told you 3rd gen Tacoma is 2005-2017, they don't know what they're talking about. 2nd gen is 2005-2015. 3rd gen is 2016-2017. The pictures on the LRA site have been the same for YEARS, so there's no way those are from a 3rd gen Taco.

Im interested, but would need 100% confirmation that it would fit a 3rd Gen bolt on. No way I am dropping $1400 on a maybe.

2nd and 3rd gen use the same gas tank.

You guys are too funny. If either of you bothered to do 5 minutes of research or send an email you'd have your confirmation.

"I am writing to follow up on your enquiry to our partners in Melbourne at Long Range Automotive. We are proud to support LRA products as distributor in US.
LRA kit # TTACDCR has been confirmed by LRA to fit quad cab, short bed Tacomas with automatic trans to 2017. We are now working on 2018 fitment.
Tanks are available for pre-paid order and are made to order – three weeks to build and two weeks to ship to you.

    "

    "
    Thank you for your enquiry.

I have copied our US agents Cruiser Brothers in on this email and they will be in contact shortly with a price to supply and ship the long range fuel tank.

We do now have confirmation that the 129lt replacement tank fits the 2017 Dual Cab Short Bed Tacoma.

    Cheers

I’m hoping to get time to go talk to George next week. Maybe I can show him the amount of interest here and we can see a better discount? Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

I've done way more than 5 minutes of research on this, but long bed so whatever. Sure it will fit with custom brackets, but I don't need it that bad at this point.

I was simply commenting on the fact that you say spoke directly with the people trying to sell us these, but they told you, "it's specifically for the 3rd gen" and that "the photos are from the 3rd gen" but list the combined 2nd and 3rd gen model years. Also, if you download the images off the LRA site and look at the taken date they're all from 9/2012 and were taken with a camera that was released in 2011. o_O Thanks for playing though. :burp:

It took all of 5 minutes on google to figure out that the 2nd and 3rd gen gas tanks are the same part number. :bored:

Subbed, is there any way to preorder tanks and the reduce lead time of 8 weeks from March 25th?

When will the link be posted on their website?

Damn, these would be nice. I’d still carry the Jerry cans, but. Just means more fuel capacity and possibly finally being able to get 1000kms out of a tank of gas, which means it opens up a lot more areas for exploring.

    Right.

Stopped by Valley Hybrids. Talked to George. He and Ward created Cruiser Brothers as their online venture to compliment their already esteemed Landcruiser business.

Ward is supposed to be our contact guy for this. I haven’t spoken to him personally as he lives up in Oregon( I think that’s what George said). George passed on my info to Ward. I am awaiting his email.

I’m in on this. George and I go back decades in the Cruiser community. I’ll support his business any way I can. That’s what friends do.

The upshot for me is I don’t have to pay to have it shipped out from the shop. I can just drive down and pick it up.
