It’s part of it, they look at the ability of the car, if it’s something they can consider sporty and fast then they will add that cost to insure to you since they can’t know each persons character they have to average the chance of that vehicle speeding or being recklace, then there’s age, driver history, cost to repair/replace. I don’t work in the industry, but I’ve had low hp cars vs faster and always the faster ones have cost way more, even when market value of the vehicle may be the same.

Not really, generally speaking it has to do with number of average accidents and/or average cost to fix.

For instance look at the rear quarter of your Lexus- that's part of the unibody so if some idiot clips you in the rear quarter, your bumper can be replaced but that big quarter has got to be straightened in place and then the paint has to be blended so the repair is not obvious. Lots of work, and lots of expense.

A lot of people say "HP = cost" but it's really more like the "dipshit" tax... collectively speaking are the rest of sportcross drivers dipshits? Well then, you're looking at that particular model having a higher than average incident frequency. It's why my WRX was ~400 more per year than my Tacoma: lots of Ken Block wannabes.

Mornin" whippersnappers. Looking for older model grille (2005 -2009) to 'speriment with between trips to the cardiologist. Ideal would be 2009 or 10,with painted surround. Paint condition not important. Willing to trade filthy stories and sage advice.

Nah. We’re takeing a year off from BITD. Some political bs with them rubbed out owner the wrong way. Going to to a few score races and keep it casual this year. May be looking to build a new truck too, pending selling our current 6100
