How well does this method work for getting bugs and shit off the front end? I've had my truck since late August and still have not washed it. It's been washed twice at the dealer since I got it, but that includes the very first wash the day I picked it up. Not to mention, the dealer doesn't do that great of a job. I have a layer of dust all over mine thanks to that awesome desert air. One dust storm and about 2 minutes of sprinkling from a few months ago was enough to get it pretty dirty

Depends on how big the bug is and what it's been eating. Also how long it's been on there. Fresh, small, vegetarian types will come off pretty easy with this soap soak and a small electric pressure washer. The ones you can hear hitting the truck not so much.

I only paid 16 bucks for the "cannon" as they're called.

Fasmov Car Wash Pressure Washer Jet Wash 1/4" Quick Release Adjustable Snow Foam Lance Foam Cannon Foam Blaster https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DKC6IY6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_O7tDAbMCHHJ48

I use it when I'm pressed for time. To help remove the damn road salt. This last time I didn't dilute the soap. And I don't use anything special. Just some Tutlewax stuff I buy at Wal-Mart.

    https://www.walmart.com/ip/Turtle-W...35&wl11=local&wl12=49692798&wl13=1968&veh=sem

When I hand wash I use Meguirars Ultimate.

    https://www.walmart.com/ip/Meguiar-...75035&wl11=online&wl12=16550244&wl13=&veh=sem

I could get all crazy with more expensive stuff but it's a truck and the weather here sucks most of the time, we have an unusual amount of pollen, and then there's the road grime and salt. Not to mention my time, which lately has been a limited supply of.

It is purty when it's clean and shiny though. And I have not waxed it yet.

Right, foam cannons are great at loosening up dirt, and whatever bugs you might have stuck to your car. I do notice mosquitoes or anything that leaves a red mark tends to stick to the paint more than the other ones.

    My previous vehicle I would:

    1) foam cannon
    2) rinse off with pressure washer
    3) clean wheels/tires
    4) 2 bucket method car wash
    5) dry with waffle weave towel
    6) quick detailer (or wax depending on how long it's been)

(my old lifted XJ in the background)

Black was a total PITA. When it was clean though, it was like a mirror and got a lot of stares. I did a 14 hour 4 stage paint correction on it as well (cutting compound, polish, jeweling polish, sealant).

With the truck...just hose off loose mud, clean off the wheels/tires/sliders. 2 bucket method wash and then dry...I'll put on a good sealant every 3-4 months or so but other than that, don't mess with the paint too much anymore aside from getting rid of trail pinstriping at the end of the wheeling season. Back then I had no kids, no time for that stuff anymore!

Hey when you all put that light bar up there, where do you run the wiring?

And how long is the perfect size?

Truck looks great with just that mod!

Welcome to the forum and the Inferno thread! :hattip:

Long bed FTW! Wheels look hot as well. What are your tire and wheel specs? So new the sticker residue is still on that front left! That's funny, unless it just looks that way.
