I am at 11,800 miles of misery with my OEM Kevlar enforced Good Year tires. I have had them rotated and balanced, road force balanced, at dealership and at Discount tire, and the truck still has a shaking steering wheel at highway speeds. I have an Offroad 2WD.....I do not off road, I am on the highway 90% of the time.

Goodyear has replaced two due to bad workmanship but is willing to replace all 4. What is a decent tire alternative through good year and smooth on the highway that will balance out easily?

If you want smooth, Michelin is probably your best bet.

Oh I agree and know that........BUT...........Good year is willing to swap out with another Good Year, Kelly, or Cooper product........Michelin, the cost is on me!

I've had good luck with Cooper tires in the past, no recent experience though.

I have the goodyear you mentioned and have no problems with shaking steering wheel at 11000 miles . Maybe something else wrong?
Edit I have OEM tires .

Look at the list of recalled tires below for the last 6 mos. I would be careful with Cooper.

Personally, I'd choose Cooper over Goodyear 9 times out of 10.

The Cooper Discoverer AT3 if you're looking for something with some more bite for snow or light off road use or the Cooper Discoverer SRX if you'll be staying on road or don't see snow at all.

But that's just an opinion from someone in the tire industry.

AT3 would be my choice. Put them on daughters Liberty and no problems

What bad about duratracs and what size and load type do you have? I was going to get them but reviews are so mixed.

265/70 17 in c load. They've never been balanced, I gave up trying. For about 7-8k miles traction was good. Then they got loud, and traction isn't great. If I could do it over again I would have got BFG's like I had before.

Sorry to hear that. I was close to getting them but keep on debating between Duractracs, KO2 and Michelin LTX AT2. Looks like I’m down to the KO2 or Michelin’s.
