I have owned this Taco for a little over a year now. I have put a bunch of work in it like a complete suspension and getting all of the maintenance caught up, cleaning up after the dirty and apparently abusive PO.

This past weekend I spent replacing alignment cams and trying to get the truck aligned. Long story short, I spent pretty much an entire day fighting with this alignment shop because they couldn't get the specs I wanted. Come to find out at the end of the day the passenger side of my frame is bent rearward a little. Now, its not enough to affect drive-ability (unless you have 3 inches of lift and caster adding UCA's installed), and most people honestly would probably not ever know. But I do now and I'm a really nit picky kinda guy, I like things just so, and when they aren't it makes me unhappy. It will just eat at me that the previous owner curbed this truck hard enough to tweak the frame.

I know it wasn't me that caused the damage, and unless my wife has some explaining to do it happened before I owned it. But it would be really hard to prove that.

The way I see it I can do a couple things

    1. Nothing, drive it bent. Probably wont make much difference honestly, except that I can't un-know what I now know. And the passenger side rubs when turning right sooner than the driver side with 285's and a lift. This will bug the shit out of me and I honestly dont know if its worth it to me.

    2. Fix the frame. No idea how much this would cost, but it will be out of pocket, because I cant prove that it wasn't me.

    3. Trade or sell, because I can't handle knowing my truck isn't perfect.

    So, what would you do?

    bummer.

I would find out how much it's going to cost and go from there.
Lots of factors to figure in. How long do you plan on keeping the truck? How many miles are on it?

it's a good looking truck. if it were me I would probably get it fixed. maybe not immediately but soon.

Straighten it out with a comealong! Or do what I just did and find a desperate Toyota dealer looking for used inventory and trade it in :)
