hi folks, have a question about my axle. I have a 2015 OR, I keep reading on here about a " solid" axle on the sport. Now this might sound silly, but I got my tires rotated last week at the tire shop and the lift they used a that lifted my truck right under the differential. Will that damage or weaken my axle whereas my truck doesn't have a " solid" axle. I'm sorry if this sounds silly but I'm a wee bit concerned. Thank you in advance

All the Tacomas have a rear solid axle and a independent front suspension stock. Lifting the truck for maintenance shouldn't damage anything unless you majorly screw up. The only difference i can think of between the sports and OR models are the e-locking diffs on the OR models but that wouldn't be damaged easily either. You should be fine

Sport models from 2005-2008 have a real limited slip, and have a 8.4" rear instead of 8". I'm assuming from 2009+, the axles are the same 8" since they started using ABS for "Auto-LSD".

I'm thinking that you do not understand what is meant by solid axle. The Tacoma has a solid axle in the rear and independent in the front.

It is perfectly fine to jack up the rear by using a jack directly under the differential housing.
