Mornin y'all, I got a cheese and wing hang over from yesterday

 

after 25 yrs turning wrenches with no saving or retirement,I hate doing it. would love to do something totally different...like drivers licensing
or dog catcher.......even shoveling shit at a farm.

never thought it would be this hard to find a second job or even a primary that pays more than 10 per hr.....( i get 20 per flag hr now, majority of work is .3 of an hr with other bits thrown in that get done for free....paid .3 total time 1 to 1.5 per car.......)

Morning everyone! Happy post super bowl day I'm thinking of rolling out to Big Bend in two weekends...anyone been before? Have some suggestions on what to do/where to go??

 

I've been a few times, but on a scoot. One of my favorite parts of Texas.

 

Love it out there. Really want to get back down for a long weekend. Only been once but we spent two nights there. Did Old Ore and Black Gap Rd. Black Gap is the more notorious of the two but it's fairly tame with a taco. Explored Mariscal Mine on the south road -- end of Black Gap. Also went past Santa Elena Canyon but didn't do the hike. If you have time for a hike, I hear the Window and Lost Mine are pretty accessible.

 

Yeah I was looking at doing Black Gap for sure. Would love to do some hiking as well. I have a three day weekend over President's day so looking to do some exploring. Anyone is welcome to join if your up for a semi-spontaneous trip!

 

Morning Ya'll. That was one of the better super bowl games I've watched all the way through. I'm not a huge NFL fan but it sure was nice to see the Patriots lose

Gonna be a good week. Company fishing Trip Wednesday, Thursday & Friday ....... Taco meet on Sunday! EXCITED!

Mmmmmmm, bacon

 

I know there was back and forth on cooking or eating somewhere close.......still plan on cooking? I'll have the coleman stove top grill plus bacon, fresh eggs and a pack of tortillas.

 

I think whether or not @exportexp brings the wok or not, we should cook. I can handle bacon and anything else non liquidy unless someone brings a large enough frying pan to cook the eggs in. That's just the big thing is cooking enough eggs for the group.

Im tentative on making it. I keep tearing down further and further on my LC and I keep finding more and more parts that need replacing. Plus the parts that are there are stuck together pretty well so I keep having to buy tools to compensate for that.

 

That sucks. I used to be a mechanic 30 years ago. Hope you find something
