Knowing that I flipped my atv, when I did I pulled the spark plug and started it. Bit of oil shot out

Now that I'm changing my oil, 100 miles and around 10 hrs short of schedule I have these shavings.


It's a 2017 Honda rubicon, trans is part of the oil for the engine. Have the extra 3yr warrenty. Should I go ahead and bring it in.

@GreeGunc is this the 1st or 2nd service? If that's the case then I would say those shavings are normal break in. That is a tiny tiny bit of shaving in the picture. The bore of that hole is like 4" at most I think and those shavings would amount to specks. I think you are fine. My buddies turned their honda atvs over every other time we rode for 5 or 6 years straight without issue.

 

This is the 2nd oil change, only 560 miles or 58hrs

 

I think its fine. Ride it and see how it does, if you take it to the dealer they will find some way to get your $$
