The dealer replaced the right front wheel bearing under the factory warranty! No noises on my commute! Now to look for new rims....

Indeed it did! I had a great service adviser and tech! I was honest and upfront about what happened and he still said there was "no smoking gun that it (my accident) caused the wheel bearing failure". I've purchased my last two Tacomas from this dealership and have received great deals and service! I'll continue to do business with them...maybe a Pro when this is paid off.

Yea they sound like good people for sure. Im not gonna lie man, that Calvary blue looks really cool! I know I would never sell my second gen though, might have to score the runner in that color for the girl down the road.

They definitely are good people. I didn't want to sell my '15 (which I purchased from them) but they wanted to buy it back for what I owed and put me in a '17 for very close to the same price! They took my '12 hyundai accent with ~50k miles and gave me $8k trade-in when I purchased the '15.

I've always felt like I was getting a great deal with them...yes, there was a lot of haggling. But that makes the process fun.

Glad you got it all worked out. I did something similar in my 06' back in 2009. Now I wasn't going quite that fast but it was a really hard hit at a steep angle. I had to hold the steering wheel 45 degrees to the right to drive straight after. Took it to a toyota dealership and they said nothing was broke but they couldn't allign it. Took it to a chevy dealership and got the same story. Took it to a 4x4 fab shop and they fixed it no problem. I asked the owner what they did all exited and he looked at me funny and said "ummmmm, gave it an alignment:confused:".

Just a note: The tierod end on the driver side that took the hit fell appart earlier this year (yes, fell apart) while getting an allignment. I'm glad it happended on the rack and not on the highway. The passenger side end is still good.

WOW! I wonder why they couldn't align it. Sounds like luck was with you regarding the tierod end!

Similar experience with dealers and alignments. Seems if the steering wheel isn't straight, they get all flustered. Go to a tire shop that does alignments all day everyday. They point the steering wheel straight, then the wheels. Dealership seems to point the wheels basically straight, look at the upside-down steering wheel, and go aaaaaaaaa. You need the sales department.

I just wanted to update. So after my wheel bearing replacement, I noticed a rotating noise and floor vibration above 70mph. I've taken it to the dealer and they said the wheels were the issue, (I suspected they would be after the incident). I've had the rims replaced and the noise and vibrations are still there. While I wait for the dealer to call me back I thought I'd ask here...

    What else could this be?

Could it be a bent knuckle/spindle?

The CV boot fins don't appear to be touching (I read this could be a culprit)
