Man I should not have signed up here...seeing all the amazing things you guys do to your trucks just makes the money fall right out of my wallet. On a budget though so one step at a time!

If I had any question it would be if I were replacing the Stock Rims on my 17 Tacoma Sport with aftermarkets but looking to keep my same stock tires (truck only has 8k miles on it) for a while, what size and offset should I shop for? Is a negative 12mm offset too much or should I look for zero offset? Eventually I will go slightly bigger on the tires but do not see going with a lift or leveling anytime in the near future. Any suggestions or pics would be great!

My icon rebounds are 0 offset with 4.75” back spacing. I love them.

Something to consider, it’s easier to sell wheels when they have tires on them, especially stock wheels. I sold those same wheels with tires for $900 on Craigslist 1 week after purchase. This covered over half the cost of my new wheels and tires and allowed me to increase tire size, move into a more aggressive tire and get the wheels I wanted all at once.

What I did would work for you and u may be able to get these for about the same you could sell your oem ones for. This is all of course if you like them. If you like the "darker side" then these are not for you -- good luck! Mine are 2017 4runner off road wheels. They can be found, mine came from a dealer for 100 per wheel.

That would be my dog, Monty. He loves going on adventures with me. He is a goldendoodle despite his color.

IMO, decide what you want to do with the truck first. Then prioritize mods based on your goals.

For example, I've just about written off replacing my steel wheels with something cooler because that ~$800ish dollars can go to a whole lot of other more useful mods (Lift, Tires, Fridge, etc).... but my goals are to get the truck where I can go on adventures.
