"SoundoffAudio" Custom ported box on its way home!

I have been searching the web for a behind the seat solution for over a year. Picked up my Tacoma in mid 16 and noticed the previous owner had installed a Pioneer dual din with aftermarket highs and mids run off of an Alpine amp. He had also use a dynamat type product on the roof and rear wall of the double cab. There were also RCA cables run to the rear but no amp or box was present.
The stealership must have removed it prior to putting it on the lot or they walked away at the auction.
So almost 2 years now with nothing but mids and highs. Research lead me to review Taco Tunes, Mr Marv, JL, under seat sub plates, and a number of online enclousers/prefab providers. Then I found Sound Off Audio. His website mentioned you could ask for custom alteration to any of his configuraion. So I figured I'd call.
I had settled in on Sundown Audio. They make an awesome sub at a great price. Currently running an SA10D2 in my home theater and a E8v5 in our 2015 Sequoia (had to mod the factory sub enclosure, but works well powered off the factor JBL Amp). So for the Tacoma I selected (3) E8v5. For power, I went out to my shed and had to dust off my MMATS D200HC. Added a second Battery, (2) 150 amp bussman breakers, a 250 amp buss bar from eBay, the big three upgrade, and 2awg ultraflex throughout the truck.
Matt's (owner of SoundoffAudio.com) enclosure was customused for my needs to fit (3) E8v5D2's in a net space (after port and sub displacement) of 1.43 @ 32.55hz (1.34 ohms to the MMats= +/-1250 watts or +400 to each woofer).
But, I am thinking of temporarily sealing one 8 and just running (2) E8v5D2's. Changing the enclosure to 1.53 net @ 31.23hz. I would then wire to 2ohm and feed each woofer with +450. And they would each sit in .765sqft vs the three subs in .47sqft each (Sundown's recommendations are 0.5-0.75 ft^3)
Curious to see/hear the difference! Sorry for the long read. The enclosure shipped yesterday and arrives Monday. Prep will probably take a week (mod a few things, sealing the interior, and installing the t-nuts woofer and sub plate. Hope to have pictures soon.

Thank you Lou! Subs and box mounted, couldn't be happier! Hits low..... and these eight's are begging for more power. Could not resist mounted the three and they like to eat. The Mmats is wide open and they take it like a champ!

 

Spent some time at lunch in the truck fine tuning a few things. This song I found was altered to shake the dash out of you truck. It hits so low... I may be bias, as I grew up to Metallica. But still an awesome song!

2988watt RMS for $339 shipped to the house (Amazon)!!!! And it is beating on those E8's. Also this amp fits perfectly under the passenger seat. No issues!

I'll have to take the upper half of the seat off... But I have been following your thread and am extremely intereted in the seat mod you kinda explained. Need to do the same Mod and it would give me the excuse to remove the top half for a video!
