So it will have a snorkel as an option, but will it have proper tires?

I honestly don't mind the addition of a snorkel, but if that's all Toyota is bringing to the table to "up the ante" - lame.

Yes, I realize they're the sales leader and will probably remain that way. But I mean, come on.

I pretty sure the announcement is going to be a official line of oem accessoies for the off road inclined . Think of jeep and how they completely capitalized on it . They get a double whammy when someone that can't install it themselves needs an install .

Saying the Ridgeline takes sales away from the Tacoma is like saying pink speedos take sales away from bluejeans.

It’s really apples to oranges........or maybe plums.

Here what looks like to be the OEM snorkel, minus BRO cover.

The bro snorkel cover will come in Chrome I bet, and everyone will have to derp it or buy a TRD version with a tiny heritage ‘Toyota’ logo on it.

So your saying that none of those ridgeline sales might have been a taco instead? I 100% disagree. For ever other truck out there, those are some sales that the Tacoma does not get, plain and simple.

I floored my old jeep through a mud hole, huge mistake. Didn't see the log that was at the bottom. Ended up bending the small axle coming from the transfer case. Never again will I slam it into a mud hole... That sounded dirty...

fingers-crossed if they Chrome the snorkel, they’ll Chrome the mirrors too.

Hope it looks a little like this:

That's really what this truck needs is a good set of factory M/T or A/Ts. Seems like the Tacoma lacks traction in all the comparison tests

The kinda person who buys a Ridgeline is generally not the person who buys a Tacoma.....at least I don’t think so, except in rare cases. But you could be right. There may be Ridgeline-owners trapped in Tacoma-owners bodies and vice versa. I’m not gonna judge.
