Changing oils question

    will have zero issue switching. Buy mobil 1 at the right time and it can be as cheap as 12 bucks a jug (5 qt) for full synthetic after rebate (which i have always gotten). Buy 2 jugs on walmart.com when they are on their sale price ~22 bucks, to get free 2 day shipping, and then process the rebate for both jugs at the same time. Never have to leave your house to get your oil.

    I usually run Mobil1 or Castro Syntech. I put Penzoil Platinum in this last time and I swear it feels like it's running smoother and better. It's probably just my imagination but I'm going to stick with Penzoil Platinum for a while.

    And yes, any oil of the correct weight should be fine.

    I ran regular old Castrol GTX in my old T100. At 221,000 miles, I changed my valve cover gaskets and the top end of my engine looked like new.

    I sold it with 267,000 miles on it, to my nephew who drove it back to Des Moines from southern Illinois. He'll probably drive it another ten years.
