I've been looking at my options on this as well. I thought about the spacer block, but for a little more money I can get a 3 leaf progressive AAL from Headstrong. I figure as long as I'm gonna pull my rear end apart to install the shocks, I might as well go with the AAL. Half the reason I'm getting this kit is to improve ride quality (and gain altitude), so why jeopardize that ride quality to save a couple of bucks. I don't want to be pulling apart my truck rear end 6 months from now to install the AAL. I know there are some that will say to install the full leaf pack but that would start cutting into my new tire funds. It is basically a cost/benefit decision that will be different for every person.

Dude asked if blocks would work to lift the rear. The answer is yes, just as I stated. Are there better options, yes. And again, I stated that as well.

Did you add extra shims or spacers to the front coil overs? Yours seems higher than the other folks that have installed so far.

 

Ok so update is only did the rears tonight. Just so you guys know if you don’t ask the parts guy at Toyota for the install instructions you can find them at toyotapartsdeal.com. I recommend reviewing them before installing instead of just winging it lol. Some tips for the rear would be put the bottom of the shock in first with the bolt, then compress and slide the top in. Also install the reservoir holders loosely without the reservoir and then slide it in and tighten everything down.

No at this time I am installing the whole kit on an otherwise stock TRD OR including wheels and tires. Not sure if I am going to be able to finish the fronts tomorrow or thursday, but once I do I will post my after measurements.

 

Have some patience. I just got my email today about it being shipped. I place the order a few days ago.

It sounds like you used the instructions from ToyotaPartsDeal.com.... those instructions say TUNDRA at the top. Did they match your install?
