Thank you sir. Diving here is different than the Caribbean. Most fish are very colorful and the missus got to take pictures of Nemo which we don't have on the Caribbean.
How is life in the North?

I would go of I lived near by Bill. Some trails up near me and a lot of TW folks go to them. As for living near a major city, it does blow...thats why I left New York, city when I was 19 and never looked back:D. It always takes one to mess it up for everyone.

Stay safe and be careful if you do go to the woods Bill.

Still windy this week ... they keep forecasting winds will decrease “tomorrow” ... it’s getting a Groundhog Dayesque feeling... o_O

Some friends invited me to go truck camping this coming weekend. Which stoves and lanterns to get out? Think I'll bring some single burner stoves, Coleman 500 for one, maybe a Campingo. Should be camping on snow, dont know if one CG will be open or accessible. On the Coleman forum, we're trying to figure out where to camp the first weekend in March in N. Kalifornia.

I think I've rassled the pooters back into submission. Cost me $900, I guess that's what a pound of flesh goes for these days. What do they call it again -- oh yeah, progress.

“Progress” ... I’m starting to think that’s marketing hype. o_O

Hi Gentlemen:hattip:. :woot::woot: for them winning the Super Bowl, but I still have a bit of annoyance against what the NFL players did during the Anthem. There were others ways to protest. Hope all is well with you folks.

    NEW HOBBY!
Read an article about these jigs which are "SUPPOSED" to be maybe the best walleye jigs ever made!
They were made by Lacey Gee, founder of Wapsi fly Co., and never available in the catalog but only sold locally. A guy that knew him and fished with him gave detailed instructions on how to make them in a article I found, I couldn't resist!
Probably won't catch a darn fish on them, but when it comes to walleyes I am willing to try anything that may give me an edge.
Oh well, at least they are pretty, and NO Sue you can't use them for ear rings! :D

Are those available in 1/16 TH ounce Carl?

Looks like absolute Crappie killers if small enough.

Only if someone makes them Gary, they are not sold anywhere that I know of. Now that I have all the material to tie them I will probably be experimenting with different sizes, all those in the box are either 1/8 or 1/4oz. and plan on tying some 3/8oz. for the deeper parts of the river.
My fishing buddy sometime uses black bucktail jigs up at Oneida for walleyes, I'm curious to see if I make a couple of the same jigs, but use black bucktail, if it will up his catch rate, never know till you try!

Morning all! Based on the storm projection here in northeast PA I shut the college down for today - so I have a day off at home. Snow projections for us are in the 5 to 8 inch range so I'll get to use the new UTV again this week. Woo Hoo!!

I have a friend who has a print shop - he ran some custom vinyl for my new helmet. I am ready to fly! Helmet Eagle 1.jpg

    Morning all:
Cant wait to put them to the test :fingerscrossed:!

I think Mark should get rid of his new toy, darn thing seems to attract snow!
I'm getting a mess here, the last snow and rain turned into almost ice and now more snow on top of that.

Mark I really like your helmet and UTV but you can keep the snow.

We need good weather so Carl can catch more Walleyes.

Should have a snowmobile parked here, not my truck. We need snow in the Sierra, 20% to 30% of normal for this time of year.
