I seem to be having a problem with my factory rear locker. When I go to use the locker, it goes in the first time no problem. It will also disengage no problem. If I go to use it again, it will not re-engage. The light just flashes, the rear end never locks up. In order to get it to work, I have to completely shut the truck off, turn it back on again and it will work no problem. Has anyone else had this problem? I tried a quick search and didn't come up with much.

For reference, my truck is a 2016 TRD OR DCLB. It has about 32k miles on it. I got it in November 2015.

Try it while moving slowly, especially turning. Or only when you are stuck. Sometimes it cannot slip in as it needs to if things are not aligned.

I have tried turning the wheel, moving slowly forward and/or backward in drive and/or reverse and even tried letting the truck roll in neutral and it still won't engage the second time.

Try driving a short distance. Or jacking it up and putting both rear tires in the air. You should get it to catch shortly after the wheels start turning a different speed.
