Hope everyone is doing well. I've got a new set of BFG KO2 tires on my 2009 Access Cab and the road noise is very noticable. I've tried the turning the stereo up method, but it's time to take it to the next level. Besides pulling the door panels off and doing a noico treatment, are there any other DIY noise deadening tricks I can look into?

    Thanks.

Maybe it's my loud headers/exhaust, but I've never really noticed any noise from my KO2s unless I'm driving next to a wall or alongside another car with my windows down. Then they sound like a rainmaker almost.

That's weird. I've had two sets of KO2s and they have been some of the most quiet truck tires I've used. My Cooper at3 and atps had more noticable noise.

I haven’t noticed loud road noise with mine either. However my wife’s 4runner had the original bfg at’s. They became very loud or what sounded like a mud terrian tire, it turned out to be a wheel bearing. I guess we didn’t really notice it getting loud. But once the wheel beaing was replaced it was quiet again.

I opted not to get ko2s when it came time to get tires on my truck. My old company ran them on a work truck and I was unimpressed with performance and noise. Maybe it was due to the fact we were driving a loaded down Chevy 2500, hauling a trailer. I know there are a lot of people who swear by them.

    I agree with this.

I have 315 Cooper Maxxs, no carpet, a hole in The floor for my twin sticks (it’s sealed but still noisy), Supercharger whine, 3” exhaust, no cats, storage compartments behind the rear seats removed, etc. My truck is not quiet inside. Hell, I can hear the t-case chain. None of that bothers me in the slightest.

HOWEVER, one little dash creak and I’m loosing my mind trying to find it.

I’ll cut the OP some slack here. I think we all have a noise that will bother us

Have you replaced or checked your wheel bearings? Thought my AT's were loud and it turned out to be wheel bearings.

I've been using it as a white noise that helps me relax on longer trips. PSI is normal, I'll definitely be checking the bearings, thanks for that advice. As for dash noises, I've developed an overhead, somewhere in the sunglasses/garage door opener compartment that is driving me bonkers.

Also I get that it's a truck with aggressive tires...my previous truck was a 1973 Chevy Cheyenne lifted with tires and all the fun stuff...that sounded like I was driving into battle. This is mild compared to that.
