Hey there dudes I’m new to the Forums and this is my first post ever, Nathan built me my rack for my access cab taco about a year and half ago and I also did experience some issues you fellas are describing but he did come through within a month and installed the rack without and issue and actually provided excellent service.. I also ordered a set of bilstein 5100s from him but after a month and no struts he gave me my money back without and issue. This refund was also his idea which made me happy.. I’ve only had good experiences but like I said that was a year and a half ago.. hope things get better for you all.

Just through I’d chime in and share my experience.

Thank you for the review. Seems that you experienced the same issues, except you have either gotten a product or a refund.

I think this is why I had high hopes for him. But when his stories/excuses don't start to add up...

My Run in with Nathan was back in October 6, met him him thru kijiji. Ordered a roof rack for my vehicle. Was given a 2-3 week deadline, sweet!. At that time i thought it was better than ordering from the states. Gave him a $500 deposit, cash. He said he didnt deal with credit cards because of the cost on his end (red flag). I didnt think of it much then but now that i read stories on how people get their refunds thru the cc company...

October 23-25 i inquired about the rack. I get this: "Yeah so Ive got stuff being cut and ready to be finished but I just want to make sure I don't get in shit" (shows me a letter from cbi offroad)
I wanted to take a trip down to pensylvania for dec 11 and needed that roof rack badly. I was met with ignored messages and and excuses:
Dec 2: "the flowjet guy is working on it"
Dec 12: " the flowjet guy keeps messing up"
Dec 20: "Sorry, this week is ridiculous with family/time of year. I called Monday and they where to call me Wednesday-Thursday with an ETA. Though I'm not sure how that's going to work with the holiday"

At this time, I said ok. Ill be on vacation til the 16th of january and will be looking forward to seeing him when I get back.

Jan 17, i txt him about the rack... no reply because his cellphone is cut off. Hmmm
Jan 18 i messaged him on fb messenger only to get a "get back to you in a bit" response.

After two days of ignored messages, Jan 20 i get a "machine shop is working on it". I asked for a refund.
Jan 23: He replies, "our new policy is no refunds for products". AND i got a sweet deal! He will cover the rest of the cost for the roof rack or i can get other products instead. BUT, I kindly insisted for my refund to be e-transfered back to my account. He Ignored all of my messages for days...

    Jan 31 i get this
"Yes I know, I’m in a huge financial situation and I’m trying to make good on this.

The rack production is still delayed until a company I’m working with can get the equipment in and set up so racks made for me. There is money tied up in many things and this is what is hindering production or refunds"

I thought "THE MACHINE SHOP IS WORKING ON IT"...

Trust level at this point, 0. And to see that I'm not the only one on this boat. Fishy...

The rest is history. On a bright side, I almost ordered a lift kit for me and my buddy because "anything offroad related, I can get"

Thats what im starting to realize.

BTW, I dont own a tacoma and hope you guys didnt mind me spreading this thread all over the internet as I noticed that every attempts to spread the word were promptly being blocked by people. I for sure will not get my refund back but might as well make some noise and pursue legal avenues.

Well my deadline to get my parts or refund from Nate was Feb 5, 2018, I got nothing. I have zero patience for ignorant people. I filed with the RCMP fraud division, and the BBB, I have an appointment this Friday with my lawyer, and will also report to my case to my local police. People if he owes you any money or parts, no matter the amount REPORT IT!!!!! The more noise we make the faster we flush him out of hiding.

Hey all, figured I’d chime in with my experience as well.

First off let me say that I feel for every one that got the short end of the deal here. I first started dealing with Nathan and CORE back in 2015. I met him on a few local runs and we talked shop quite a bit. Shortly after I wrecked the stock skid plates on my FJ I decided to go ahead and order a set of ARB ones through him. At this time he still had the shop presence in Barrie. After about 2 weeks I finally heard from him saying they were out of stock everywhere and they have to be shipped direct from Australia, which might take some time. Now I’m usually patient when it comes logistics and freight problems (because I deal with them every day) but after 3 months of hearing the same thing...I was loosing faith. Finally out of the blue I get a message from him saying they showed a few days ago. I drove down that afternoon and picked them up. Product in hand, happy customer.

I was really hoping CORE would become what Nathan wanted. But the more I saw him talk about it and try to get his hands in everything from sales and customer projects then building custom sliders, racks and bumpers for people. I knew he meant well on many occasions but I think he quickly became overwhelmed, and that was before the whole RTT preorder ordeal.

I also now have a CORE rack on my FJ. First I’ll say up front that this was given to me by Nathan, for promotional purposes. I was appoched by Nathan in October and he told me he had an “early production rack” collecting dust and said he’d love to see it on my rig. So we made plans to meet up at his place and put it on. Two days before we were to meet up he told me that he actually didn’t have any cross bars for it. I told him we might as well wait unti he did. Fast forward a month, he got the right length cross bars cut and we made plans again. At this point I had already taken off my previous roof rack twice...if I had to put it back on again, I wouldn’t be taking it off again. This time we met up and installed the rack. He didn’t mention to me prior but apperently he left the wind deflector at the CNC guy. To his credit he did actually deliver it to my place the next day (I live roughly an hour and a half from him)

Over the past few months and talking with quite a few people about CORE, I’ve head the same stories and excuses from different people. It greatly discouraged me to do business with him again. Before that I unfortunately know that I sent many people his way, and I regret that.

Thanks for chiming in Mike. One of the reasons I started this thread was to inform people as I know I sent some to him and I too regret it.

He's gone underground. Given several members have contacted authorities I would think he's trying to avoid contact right now. Good luck.
