My air bag light came on yesterday, I’ve disconnected the battery trying to reset it but to no avail. Anyone else had a problem with this?

Did you check the sensors behind the grill near the radiator and make sure they didn't get disconnected?

Could just be a faulty sensor, go to a auto parts place they usually look at the codes for free

Check for a recall. Mine had the "Spiral Cable" go out and it was covered under a recall. They have to remove and re-charge the airbag so It's not cheap if you have to pay out of pocket.

Took it by 2 places and no codes were found, dealership wants $100 to hook it up to see what the cause is. I’m gonna unhook the sensors under the seats and see what I can find out.

Just be careful with whatever you do, the one's under the seat won't set anything off. But if you start playing with the one's at the front of the vehicle it could go off

Yeah I’m just gonna mess with the ones under the seat, guy at the dealership said that’s probably the one that’s bad because the passenger side seatbelt light continues to flash even when it’s buckled.

Does your cruise control and horn work? (trust me, this is a serious question)

Yeah it has to do with the clock spring/spiral cable. It’s what connects your horn/airbag/cruise control/steering wheel controls to the rest of your truck. It’s the most common issue.

If the belt buckle switch is bad, that will affect the operation of the srs. It needs to see belts buckled before it will arm the airbags. If you have no damaged wiring under the seat, it is likely a bad buckle assembly

Check for continuity through the buckle when it is fastened with a DVOM. It should be open circuit when the buckle is un-fastened. Or vice versa..
