    Ladies and Gents,

The time has come to look at a lift kit for my truck. Now now.. I know what you all are thinking, "LOOK IN THE SEARCH FIELD ASSH*LE!" So, I have read tons of threads, 2nd gen Pro suspension for third gen, OME suspension threads, Bilstein 6112/5160s thread and so on... I looked at headstrong and they don't ship to me, I also didn't call to verify.
My use will be going off-road on moderate trails, not bouncing off big rocks or anything, maybe small technical stuff. I will have weight in the rear, consisting of a cage with RTT over my softopper, also gear. The front will get a hybrid bumper with wench, also 1 or 2 deep cycle batteries. Skids, all steel. Other stuff. Medium weight front and rear?I am not looking to baja through the desert at breakneck speeds, more slow to moderate speeds.

I am just torn between the brands. I don't want ICON, FOX, or KINGS. Just not in my budget. Looking for only 2" lift so I don't have to worry about UCAs. If anyone has a overland build they have done and experiences would be welcomed.

5100’s and OME 887 coils with AAL or a leaf pack.

OME or bilstein shocks. Dakar, ICON, or Deaver full leaf pack in rear. High-mid to heavy weight springs in front.

Dual battery + bumper + winch is a lot of added weight.

The lower end Icon are great, my friend's 2nd Gen kit was put on in a day and he got great off-road movement. My 07 JK is on Kings and its worth the huge price tag, but it gets to be a pain later on when they need to be adjusted. Have you looked in Rogue Off-road yet?

On second thought, you might want 886 OME coils if you’re going to have all that weight up front.

If you’re going to be adding armor/gear DO NOT go with blocks.

I might have. I've look at several sites. I was thinking about the 5100s. Cheap but I'd like a step up to maybe the 6112/5160s to future proof it.Hear good things about them, just unsure.

Keep it simple and go OME. Call up Cruiseroutfitters and they'll guide you through exactly what you need. Guessing 886 springs up front.

A friend of mine has a set, going on 4 years now, on his Tacoma (2nd gen). Zero issues. No sag. OME--Australian company. They know a thing or two about going off road.

If you’re going to ad armor/gear its 100000000% a good idea, which you seem to be at. Just a vast amount of choices:bananadance:

I'm the same way, nothing wrong with it. Take your time and do it right the first time.

be conservative but keep yourself open to UCA's in the future if you can afford them. they provide more benefits than simply stopping the rubbing.

Are the springs on the 6112s good for heavy weight or is it something that will need to be changed out for OME springs?
