    I have been trying to figure this out for a couple of months, since getting the iPhoneX. Notifications were turned off. I have turned them on and am hoping this fixed it. Thanks for the info.

    I used to be able to see the text on-screen while moving. I noticed a few weeks ago that I no longer can. The unit will still read the text to me, but will not display it while moving. I think the change must have occurred with one of the recent updates.

    Mine never worked, then I got an iPhone X and it works consistently now. Not gonna poke around to try and find out why. Just gonna take it as a win and move on lol.

    My iphone 7 never worked, when I got a X it worked, and I changed nothing on the phone nor radio, it just started working.
