Get your vehicle up to code and it probably won't happen again.

 

Beat me to it Brother, never understood why people bitch and moan for getting tickets on something they should or shouldn't be doing.

I've gotten one of those before while parked. Shit happens. I am aware of all the VC violations on my truck. Some might get fixed one day, some I'll keep and hope I get a pass for being a polite citizen. Won't get mad if I get written up though. I know what I'm doing wrong.

 

How are they parking cop “wannabes”?

I mean they gave you a real ticket?

I know the "law" is to have a front license plate, which i do... On the windshield... Which i think is "fair" to a point. Note that it was 4:40, and meter was due at 4:48... Which to me smells like "opportunity" and at the same time "bull$hit"... I wasnt breaking any other "law". Tons of peeps go and do other more serious sh!tbefore getting called on by Staties... Not just regular unhapoy parking enforcement.

 

Now, knowing all the facts, you might have a case to fight it. Just saying. Good luck man!

 

Not if the law actually states the front license plate has to be affixed to the front bumper. But you never know he might win.

 

Its all a gray area... Staties will def give you a ticket, IF on HWY, and doing other stupic sh!t... Parking Enforcement... Within time limit... Come On...

"Oregon Revised Statute 803.540 requires that the plates must be displayed on the front and rear of the vehicle. This has been further litigated in the courts to mean the plates must be placed on the front and rear bumpers of the vehicle and not in the front and rear windows."

I don't know how it is in OR but in NY that was a fix-it ticket. Put the plate on, stop in traffic court and they drop it. I got one driving home from AZ to upstate NY, didn't have my front plate on and Mr. police officer flipped a bi*&h on a busy street to hunt me down and write a ticket.

 

I also got one as a fix it ticket, put it on, took it to the local CHP office and they wrote it off.

Move on.

My front plate was MORE than visible on the front. So while i appreciate you copying and pasting statutes. There is no need to be a d!ck about it. Sometimes folks need to vent. But is all cool if your GoTo is being a D!ck. Good luck in life.
