Get marine grade ply and then some resin and do one layer of fiberglass mat and you are all good

So my Tacoma broke my iphone screen today :(. I had it in my shorts pocket on my way to the gym. I went to get off and the screen happened to be facing down and got caught between my thunder thigh and the lumbar adjustment knob. All I heard was a crack and knew i was screwed :annoyed:

Ahhh fuck! Time to upgrade I guess. That’s how it treats you for giving it better suspension.

Back in the day they didn't use to send it through a mill to smooth it out it use to be what we call rough sawn or true dimension. You can still go to a lumber mill and get true dimension lumber.

Upgrade from that shitty apple product.

Yeah, but damn it! A 2x4 smoothed out should be 2x4... a rough cut 2x4 should be a rough 2x4. Stop making me have to think! All the houses I flip were built when they still use actual dimension stuff. Two 2x10's will not quite be one of the 3x8 (actual size) for the floor/ceiling joists. When I put joist hangers on the old stuff, the double ones just don't fit right. I probably don't even need hangers on those since they're notched into the perpendicular joist, but I still feel better about putting them in.

    I misspoke 1/4 in.

here is a table for your quick reference. everything in building these days is meant for what is our actual lumber dimensions and not from yester year.

iPhones are way better for iMessage alone. That was my main reason for switching back
