I was considering heading out to Sedona in a few weeks and would love to try the broken arrow trail (specifically devils staircase).
I have a completely stock 2017 TRD OR.
Anybody try this already with my same setup?
    Any advice?
    Thanks in advance.
    :)

I haven't done it in my Tundra but I've done it several times in my Wrangler. Find a map because there is a one way section that you have to follow and there isn't anywhere to turn around.

The trail is fun and has plenty of grip do to the rocks you're on. You may have clearance issues on sections, especially if you choose more difficult lines. My advise is be cautious of your line choice.

I did the trail on 275/70/17s ATs on my 2nd gen sport. No locker needed but I did snag the trailer hitch comming off some sections. Just be cautious. You're not as high.

True, but there is a section that has a second trail and you need to know which one to take.

There are a few on YouTube for the staircase decent. It's not too bad at at all. I hear lions back in Moab has a better grade and a longer decent

Have you done it yet? I did it a couple times in a Stock 17 DCLB. It went BANG BANG a couple times. Nothing serious.

The staircase is numerous ledges that depending on truck height and speed/control can lead to undercarriage making contact.

Lions Back is no longer accessible and was also smooth slick rock instead of ledges/steps

Stock PowerWagon coming down the staircase that @Mike330R took

I've only done the staircase in my wrangler. I have 4" lift on 35's. I came down in 4low and also used my ebrake to help.

That's too bad about lions back.

Finally did the trail today. It was amazing. Had no issues whatsoever. Still stock suspension but have upgraded the tires to 33 inch pizza cutter KM2s. IMG_9974.jpgIMG_9972.jpg

Heading to Sedona in a couple of weeks. My friends got an Airbnb but I would like to camp and hit this same trail and some hikes also. Anyone have recommendations on where to camp and some hikes?

I have about 6 inches of snow at my house in Flag so Sedona might have a couple inches or just a lot of rain.

When I first bought the truck, I did this trail in my 2016 Sport MT. I foolishly didn't air down the tires and did that entire trail with 36psi on the stock tires. Took it slow and made sure I chose the right lines and didn't have any problems.

Who knows? I'll tell you what, the ride was so rough on some of those spots. Mainly the entrance to the trail.

I'm planning a spring trip to arizona and will spend some time in sedona. I'd love to see the broken arrow trail by foot or by truck. Would I be foolish to take my stock dclb trd off road? Most experience is on fire roads in the Sierra. I'm in it for the views and would avoid obstacles off the easy route. Much benefit for this trail in upgrading the stock goodyear wranglers an inch in diameter by going to ko2s? Appreciate your insight.

You should be okay on most of the trail. There is one part (devil's staircase) where when going down you may have clearwcle issues.

Look up devil's staircase for broken arrow on YouTube and make your own call. FYI: there's no bypass for that obstacle.
