I give you a lot of credit for having to deal with this BS each day at work and being able to keep your composure. I hope it somehow gets better. To bad you couldn’t move on and work on the Rocket ship project that launched this week!

Thanks. It's so bad that it's comical. I reread what I post and can't believe some of it but it's all true. No exaggeration, if anything it's lacking details...

Actually 3 months ago, I was so sick and got a bit too close to death. Although work pays for my lifestyle, it isn't my life and something changed in my mind. My family is what's important to me and if I am going to worry, it'll be related to that. Even if I get laid off, what's left of the mortgage will get paid. A few years ago, I'd be a nervous wreck. So far, so good. I hope I can keep this attitude up. Being able to vent with people that have enough life experience where they understand certainly helps.

Well, we made great progress and a nice breakthrough but we're out of time for this session...

At this part the game and the race to retirement, and at our age we’re all good if not great at what we do. When a knuckle head boss comes along it’s like here we again! I’ve been lucky the last 9 years in my department, and have a great boss. He’s ex military but is laid back and let’s us work. Hang in there Vman.

    Small useful for me stuff.
There ya go, good advice once again.

o_O  Geez, were you not the when the order was given? Take that as your notice. I'd either get real curt with her or just start popping to attention everytime she walked into the room, the remind her that I've been out for 33 yrs. That's me though. Doesn't suit most. Probably why I'm where I am.

This is almost where I am. Later this year I'm thinking of looking for a part time job. I'm tired of work. Hehe

I feel for ya, the knowlege that we'd paid the mortgage off and only have a small home equity loan left really made a world of difference to me going back to work. I feel much more relaxed than I did before and it's really let me just kinda blow off the crap that's said around me. They've tried repeatedly and in different ways to get under my skin but I've been able to shrug it off, so far. You are absolutely right work and for that matter makeing money isn't going to drive me and run my life anymore, hence me applying for a job that'll allow me a better environment but lower pay. I really do feel for ya as I don't do well with domineering people.

    You and me both.
I've been at my place long enough to have zero tolerance for azzhats.
    Couldn't care less anymore.
Have no bonds at work or co-workers now as I did when I was with my line crew at another garage.

Well, new angle. It appears now that a small crew of us have been deemed "essential personnel" so, if an agreement is not made by 0001 hrs, I report as normal but in a slightly different roll....so I guess that isn't so normal afterall.

Can you talk to her outside of the office environment and let her know how you feel about her Management skills ??
