just bought a new set of BFG KO2’s from Costco, one of the tires was much browner and drier looking than the other 3. Upon checking the date codes, I found this tire to be almost a year and a half old. The others newer than 6 mos. should I make a stink to Costco to get a newer tire?? Here are the date codes: Any tire installers here have input?

Yes. I did that at Sam’s many years ago and they made right immediately.

There is something I read a while back about "tire bloom" or something to that effect. It gives the tire a brown appearance and is indicative of a defective tire.

Tires don't really brown by themselves unless its stored near the sun. If you have doubt just ask costco to take it . back. Michelin/BFgoodrich usually has a tendency or weathercrack easier since the durablack compound they use and its a high possibility to brown as well. The browning may be that it was a display tire and they rubbed a lot of petroleum products on it and or it was sitting near the sun. I work for a tire distributor, but tires with an acceptable DOT 17/16 usually doesn't have any concerns but like everyone else they rather have the latest production date then the oldest.
