Definitely doesn’t sound like a faulty relay. Unfortunately, the more erratic it gets, the more it sounds like a programiming issue going haywire or, in other words, the lighting control module. You might want to try to unhook the battery for 20 minutes to see if the whole system will reset itself. Might be worth a shot.

I know you, you would have said, but is it throwing any codes?
It may be worth swinging buy a parts place to plug in a reader to see if any thing is there.

welp, phone didnt charge overnight, went to 3 sprint locations and none had HTC phones. Two told me they couldn't even order it so I was like wtf do i buy lol need a phone asap. Ended up with a motorola. Last motorola I had was a flip phone that I used as a hackey sack and it refused to quick working. So now i have a Z2 force edition with the projector mod (it was free) and it works bad ass! spending hours on end logging in all my info, getting it setup and transferring stuff.

I'll check both of these. The Ultragauge I have should show most codes. I'll pull the negative terminal and wait a few minutes to see if that does anything. Not going anywhere for the night, nothing much else to do.

You don’t happen to have a front diff drop do you?
The problem with it potentially being the BCM is, it might not throw a code. If the truck’s computer is what the problem is, they generally don’t do a great job self-diagnosing. Sort of like crazy people not knowing they’re crazy.

I had never installed it. Seems it was only necessary on first gens.

Agreed. I figured it was a long shot but worth checking. No codes. Waiting with the battery disconnected right now.

They can be harmful on the 2nd gens which is why I was asking. They rotate the differential so the rear bearing isn’t as well lubricated as it should be. Then you mentioned the differential was making noises that went away when you topped it off with oil. That’s what got me thinking of it.
Hopefully the battery disconnect solves your issue, at least temporarily.

I don't think topping it off did anything. I was only able to get an extra 0.2 of a quart in there

    No joy on the disconnect.

We got our time in on the slopes. When things looked like they were back to normal, we resumed our plan to hit Smuggler's notch. Fun place. We'd never been before, we need to go back when it's less crowded.

Slow rainy ass day around these parts! Managed our dance without any car crashes last night, although a state trooper showed up who had crashed his front driver corner bumper a little bit.

Had one kid leave before the dance started because he had "beef" with another kid there? Half the girls dresses looked like they were a t-shirt and they forgot their bottoms. And of course the cool kids showed up an hour late and left an hour early.

Some things have changed (girls being allowed to wear no clothes) but a lot seemed to be the same!

Edit: I was trying to help the police with parking since I usually do it for weddings, it was rainy out so I had a big coat on. Car after car is just blowing by me not stopping and staring at me. Mention to the cop "No one is stopping for me, they just stare at me and keep going"
He responded "Well of course, you got some creepy ass scooby doo look going on"

Got a laugh out of that. I have long hair and a beard so I am guessing he was talking about shaggy

image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Some quick shots of my build. What a difference lifting makes.

Added Bilstein 5100 on 1.75" on front and today will install 5100 and small 1" block in rear. No serious off-roading planned....havent even taken her into dirt yet.

Added nerf bars and bull bar. Looking at going with a black 17" wheel with some aggressive looking tires....suggestions please.

Not a huge black wheel guy, or at least an all-black wheel, but you can't go wrong with the TRD SEMA wheels. I'd look at the gunmetal color personally.

As far as tires are concerned, there's very few bad choices you can make. I've always been partial to BFG All-Terrains, and ran the original KOs on the previous two trucks. I'm going with the KO2 this time around. Duratracs are a popular option as well and many other members like some of the other options, too.

Since most of my driving is on street and sometimes highway.....I have read some good things on ko2's especially noise. I do like the aggressiveness.

I personally like the white letters shown.......
