Cross posted this on tundras.com but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask here too.

As I was trying to fill up my truck the pump would run for a few seconds and then stop like the tank was full but I know it's not. I just completed a 300 mile road trip.
I tried another pump and had the same problem.

Has anyone experienced this or know what the problem is?

If you back off the depth of the nozzle insertion does it work better?

The auto shut off is kicking in, and it could be just air trying to escape the fill neck.

I've had that issue with numerous vehicles over the years. I have decided it must be a faulty pump not the vehicle because it always pumped fine at the next fill up at a different station.

No I tried different flow rates and moving the nozzle around with no luck.

Maybe I'll try a different station. I tried 2 pumps with the same result.

Hopefully you find it had something to do with the station.:fingerscrossed: Unfortunately I'm not sure what else it could be. When it happened in the past I never put much thought into it since it never occurred twice in a row. When it did happen I would just hold it and it would pump until the tank was full.

Maybe someone will have other ideals from experience.

    Update:
Went to another station and had the same result. I rotated the nozzle at an angle and that did the trick!

    Another update.
Had the same issue last week but this time I couldn't get anything to work. Dropped the truck off at the dealer and they said something hit the tank and damaged the unit that senses the tank it full.
They are replacing the tank and I should hopefully get it back Wednesday!

They stuck me in a RAV4 and I really miss my truck.

Just a question, are you in CA with the special Cali style pumps? I’ve always had trouble refueling with those nozzles clicking off pre maturely.
