Anyone buy these specific running boards for their truckbar? They are awfully low.

If you're looking for off-road protection you're better off getting actual sliders than something like that. From what I've heard nerf bars are worthless and as you've noticed they hang down quite low.

Do not buy! Such cheap shitty material, and when i say the welds are bad i mean it looks like i was drunk using a harbor freight stick welder with my eyes closed. I put my full weight on one step and watched it flex a little more than it felt like it shouldve. Hit the wrong curb in a parking lot and those things are toast! Spend $250 and get weld on rock sliders from 4x4 innovations. Cheapest sliders/steps out there.

Why spend that much on some more shitty chinese side steps? I see steps like these on the third gens all day at work(they are an option on third gens from the factory) and I cant help but chuckle because they are so expensive but so crappily built. I wouldnt doubt that either of those links for side steps costed the factory more than 80 bucks per side tbh. When i looked up the predator steps i found them to be going for like 700$. Now if you really really want side steps over a pair of quality sliders that could be had for less the only side steps i have heard of that looks durable and decently built are these

I dont really wanna decide for you as some people like the side steps such as the predators. But they really are overpriced. The original link you put up looks better overall than the predators though so if you wanted to go with one of those i would say try the first ones.

Heres a pic of the rock steps
