    I tried turning the lights off and for me it did reduce the glare in close but didn't have much effect out past about 6 feet. So, because killing the lights didn't help, I don't think that the led license plate lights would be of much help to me. I didn't think to try adding in some brake light but I'll try that next time.

    I noticed the same issue last night, first day with my truck. I thought maybe there was some sort of shroud out there to help with the glare but it seems like everyone just deals with it.

    I'm upgrading my reverse lights to LED so maybe that will help with contrast.

    I find the camera works best if you calibrate it about every six weeks. Here's how I do it:
