Long story short I was laid off. The company I was with paid well, but was having a lot of financial issues, so it wasn't unexpected and I had saved money for a rainy day.

I'm living in Conroe now, and I'm hoping to find something closer to home. Anyone know of any positions that might be open? I have a degree in engineering, and started out as a manufacturing engineer specializing in continuous improvement. I've been a maintenance manager, service manager and spent the last three years as the operations manager (manufacturing/warehouse/quality/service) of an O&G facility. I've been in manufacturing in one way or another for 10 years and there are not a lot of processes that I haven't been exposed to in some way.

If you know of any places that might have an opening that fits my background let me know. I'm currently on linked in, indeed, rig zone, etc. applying, but I figure one if you might know of an opportunity or might be able to get my resume in front of the right person. I myself have found two employees myself after they posted similar threads on forums I visit.

At this time no because I have a girlfriend (soon to be fiancée) with a daughter and I don't want to make them relocate

I think I've already been sending Exxon resumes but I'll check them out again

    That’s completely understandable.
