You need to put that in the cheap/free mod that will help a lot. I have a 2nd gen so I will look and see where people are drilling there's probably the same spot. I always thought they were in the grill I guess I haven't looked close enough to see. Thank you man that's awesome.

OK, so of course I want More !

Wanting to swap out my Auxbeam F16's for the Hikari's in the Low beam position as that's what is usually on.

Wondering if the F16's could go up into my High position would good results ?

I am also running Auxbeam S2's in the driving lights.

If you were playing mix and match with what I got and not buying anything else  (aside from the Hikari's.... what would you do ?

Some advice for anyone else doing swapping out for LED bulbs, be sure to ops check the bulbs before re-installing them. For example, the license plate lights didn't illuminate after plugging the bulbs in, I had to drop the plug a second time to double check the bulb in the socket. I had the same issue with the map lights, coincidentally I used the same make & model bulbs in both applications. It may be an issue for that specific bulb but doesn't hurt to check.

So, if LED's are supposed to run cooler with less current...why do they need fans or heat sinks when HIDs are infamously known to be super hot, yet have no such cooling method? I find it odd...trying to understand this a little because I heard there are fan-less LED's (I'm sure it just has a heat sink).

Your guess is as good as mine. I completely agree. The LED's don't get hot at all so I don't understand it either. Some LED's do require heat sinks though. There are Fanless LED bulbs.

I'm also in IT (14 years), but I've seen quite a few fans die...so it definitely happens. Heck, I had 2 (from dozens that I have owned over the past 20 years) die on my personal computers. One was a laptop CPU fan, another was a PSU fan in a desktop. You never realize how important/vital they are until you have to turn off your PC every couple minutes to let it cool down.

However, I've seen the opposiste when we've crack open a PC and wonder WTF...how is this thing still running with all of the dirt/sand/lint buildup...especially in deployed environments?? lol

Really!? That's the one thing I have yet to see go bad on a PC. I have a Lenovo Tiny M700 for my daily PC and it runs 24/7. I normally will shut it down on Friday, but it typically runs Monday-Friday. So 120 hrs a week and I've had it over a year so the fan has run over 6000 hours and still going good. That's the only reason I compared the two.

I've seen more than my fair share that were still running 24/7 (for 3-4 years straight) in the desert...it looks like the inside of a vacuum bag!! lol So I was baffled when the one in my desktop died on me.

On the Amazon page for the Hikari Philip LEDs, it also recommends an anti-flickering resistor decoder for $19.99. Has anyone used this? Is it necessary for these lights? Sorry if this is addressed earlier in the thread, I looked through and didn't see anything. Thanks.

Whats up everyone!!! So, I was doing a bit of research and looking into Morimoto. I'd say if you got the money, these look like real quality products. They have HID kits, Complete fog light replacement kits, and LED lighting. It appears that most of there LED lighting color output is 5500K. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with any of there products.

Its not recommended its just showing "frequently bought together". I don't have them and mine work perfectly fine. You can spend the extra $20 and get them for the piece of mind.

Lol hey, there is nothing wrong with the Hikari at all. I'm just putting that out there as another option. Trust me, price on the Hikari is way better lol these Morimoto's aren't cheap. I've heard a few guys on here mention them.

Just bought a pair of the Morimoto XB fog lights. Supposed to be a really easy install. I like how they have a tinted look when the fogs are turned off, different than others I've seen.

Thanks. It gave me pause a little bit that Hikari is even offering an anti-flickering product. Suggests to me that they acknowledge it could be an issue.
