What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

New head unit.

 

Tested the lift.

 

Finally got to checking my P/S fluid, brown as dirt at 38k. Drain and fill with Toyota OEM Dexron ATF red fluid.

 

where did you get those? I would like to have some in Barcelona red.

 

I need to do this very much bad.

 

Did you use a write up on here? I need to do a drain and refill on mine too

 

Did the spark plugs. They were totally worn down and it was so easy. I love working on this truck. On my Impreza spark plugs were impossible as the heads were jammed up against the frame rails. I think this took me 45 minutes... and my wife still complained about me working on the truck. Cleaned the MAF too

Just let her know that you probably saved 200-300 bucks by doing that stuff yourself.

There isnt a great write up that ive found on here. Its essentially using a hand pump or small turkey baster to remove the old fluid in the reservoir, refilling with new fluid, going on a drive, removing the fluid, refill with new. Repeat that 2 or so times until the fluid after going on your drive looks fresh. There is a way to drain it with disconnecting a return hose but I didnt want to introduce air into the system/ pump.

Ebay. The seller is vq5speed. Search for T-Rex or Tacoma eyelids. They come unpainted but any body shop can paint to match.

 

Exhaust will change again. I currently have an AT2525XL, but I plan to add another resonator for S&G.
