Gentlemen: Had my 2009 Tacoma frame changed out in January 2018. The change out took seven days. Two days later the engine light came on (Broken emission coupler). Four days later the right front wheel splash guard fell into my front tire. Back to Toyota twice for this repair. Now in the middle of February, I opened my tailgate and discovered The back-up camera wiring was not clipped in place. Now my curiosity has got me! Went under to take a look, found broken (cut) wiring clips all over the truck, Wiring hanging down all over the truck. Went and got the wire TY-RAPS. This Tacoma only has 84,000 miles on it. This is my fifth Taco so I am a loyal Toyota owner. This truck didn't need this poor workmanship.
My suggestion is: Don't let the truck out of the shop until it's on a lift and you look under it!

Being quick is the name of the game in that dealership life! The only problem with that is some people can't be quick and do good work at the same time!

This is why I don't look forward to taking my truck in. Our local dealership sucks.
I will defiantly be looking over the truck when I get it back.

Mine took a day and a half. Dropped truck off in the morning and went back next day to take pictures and it was done. Never had any issues with truck. Hell it might have only been one day now that I think about it. It actually freaked me out when it happened because I'd read about some taking so long. Maybe they worked all night I don't know.

Depends how the techs feeling and how the rest of shits going. I cant speak for every dealership but i have seen frames take one day and i have seen them take one week because the schedule gets packed. Plus if a good tech comes in at 6AM and works till 7PM and thats all hes assigned, hell yah hes gonna be done fast. Truly is amazing to see them just casually torch a frame into tiny pieces, new frame comes in and next thing you know the trucks back together!

The coupler was a small piece of plastic pipe that was fitted inside the hose that is connected to fuel filler (acts like a loose gas cap). I also had to take the truck back for the steering wheel wasn't lined up. They had to realign the frontend.
The dealer was Koon's Toyota of Easton, Md. I believe they subcontracted this job out, for they have done other work on this truck like replace the springs. that work was good.
