Buying Questions

So as some of you know I'm trying to buy a motorcycle when I get home this summer from college. I have had one lined up but the chances that this is going to happen are dwindling away.

The seller is in FL in the Navy in training and isn't having a lot of free time I'm guessing. He tried to get home for a few days but was denied.

He says he "has some money and title stuff to deal with with the MVA."

He is a friend and I do trust him but it's taking him forever to do anything. It took me 3 days to get into contact with him last time. This bike is kinda my only option right now as it is the only bike in my price range.

I even offered to front him half the cost of the bike so that he could get his stuff figured out (probably a dumb move on my part considering I haven't seen the bike in months).He won't be coming home until September and I will be back in college by that time.

My question is, how long do I get jerked around by this guy before I tell him to forget it?
