I don't *think* leafs would help with the weight of skids much. Considering that skids are primarily protecting the engine components and leafs are concerned with supporting the rear. I also went with RCI. The aluminum version. Never notice they're there weight wise. Definitely glad to have them though. They've taken their share of abuse since I mounted them.

 

So I could buy a set of OME 885 or 886's to go with the 5100's for future bumper upgrades? How much lift would that be? I don't want to go above ~2.

 

886's no. They won't work. But 885's yes. I was originally going to pair them with 887s. Just need to set the billies at 0 so you don't preload them with the coil

 

Depends on your weight-to-be.

I'm running 884s with a @Mobtown Offroad recovery bar, which weighs next to nothing.

@Texoma could prolly reccomend something.

Not sure what @pixelsailor has but it'd be similar to what you will need I bet.

 

Good set up by itself, also good if accompanied by front coils and rear leafs.

 

Def learning a lot I know the front supports skid weight I say Dakar because just got a bed mat the other day an I can see rear sag just a hair
