    Update on my previous post...

I've had my truck for 2.5wk now and have no complaints about these tires. Road noise was a mild concern of mine, the stock exhaust is louder.
My biggest concern was braking performance and wet performance. Both have been great, and I'm coming from a 3 series M sport.

My wife has the same tires in 265/70/17 on her 16 T4R, about 2mo old now, and thought they were quieter than her stock touring style tires.

Definitely happy with our purchases so far!

1500mi Update: Still no complaints about these tires. I've done all types of driving on road except snow and minimal off road. On road I have zero complaints. Off road, they get clogged up with southern clay/mud easily, but they're also not M/T's so that's to be expected. In dry dirt, they're good at both low and high speeds.

    Hi gang,
I might as well update too...

Having driven over 12,000 miles in Baja, just in one year (2017), I have 'exposed' my ATMs to more harm and more flats.

Discount Tire has replaced them but last time, I got the "where do you work/live?" questioning as all four or more tires have been replaced now because they either were sidewall punctures or they were patched in Mexico and so, they gave me a new ones (less $20 warranty charge).

Sharp rocks, metal trash on the highway (hit at night), nails or bolts, and unknown reasons for the flats.
Would other tires also get a flat? Sure! But, maybe higher priced tires (BFG All Terrain KO2 or ?) would not as much?

In any case, my tires are mostly new again because of the warranty replacements. However, the Discount stores here in Southern California seem to not want to stock them anymore (I wonder why? lol) so I need to wait a few days for a replacement tire to get shipped in from Arizona or some other state.

Other than that, they are doing fine and off road worked great... never get stuck!

About 40k miles on my mine with no issues. Aired them down to 21 psi for off roading and still no punctures or gashes. This is all on the P rated tires too! ;) Still don't hear any noises on road either. Best bang for the buck AT tires  Can't wait to get the LT version for the Tacoma when they wear down eventually :)

Hey all. I'm thinking about mounting these tires on my 17" oem sport rims and going with the 265/70R17. Would you still go with this tire if you were going to pull a small camper (3600GVWR) a few times a year? Any thoughts? Thanks guys.

What did you end up getting? I'm wanting to put the 265/70/17 on my 17" trd sport rims. Since I also am interested in towing a small camper a few times a year, not sure if I want to go with the LT or P style?

I ended up going with the 10ply wildpeaks. They are nice. A little rough riding but they work for what I wanted and the price was right. Local garage go them for $155 each, $70 to mount and balance all of them.

I’ve decided to go with the dynapro ATM P265/70/17 and not the LT version. Another dumb question. Do I have to also get a bigger spare or can I just keep the original 265/65/17 tire.

If the spare is only to get you to the tire shop to fix, the small difference in diameter is hardly worth the cost, in my opinion. I usually can fix the flats with a plug on the truck and only a couple times have needed to drive on the spare (max 50 miles) and when I did nothing bad happened.

I'm in the same situation. I might just look for a 265 70 17 on craigslist or something.. just for peace of mind.

I think just about all of us Off Road TRD Dynapro drivers who are mostly stock still get the 265/75-16 (1" taller) models over our stock 265/70-16 tires as they do not require a lift, do not rub, and raise our minimum ground clearance 1/2" from 9.25" to 9.75" (my measurements). Also, the taller tires make the speedometer read correctly, since the factory makes them read too fast, intentionally.

33F9090A-0FD6-4622-ACED-03E4BC30629A.jpg Just an FYI about these tires. As they age they get really bad in wet weather. I have over 40k miles on mine and they are now dangerous when raining. Can barely take off from stop lights without idling. I’ve loved they tires up until recently and will go another route this time. My truck is a 2009 DCLB and I don’t go wheeling, just normal driving with some dirt road to get to my dirt bike riding areas. Tread depth is still good, but traction in the rain makes me nervous to drive it now. Looking at new tires this weekend.
