Dealer quoted me 350 to install the film on the hood and the front fenders. Is that too much? Are there other products out there? I drive across country three times a year and my 03 Tundra had a lot of potholes in the paint on the front of the hood. I want to keep my truck lookin good for years to come. What do you guys think? Thanks

The good stuff works well. Make sure it’s self healing and allows uv rays to penetrate so the paint looks the same as the non protected over time. $350 sounds really cheap. Had the front clip of the subarachnoid done. Bumper and part of hood. Think the dealer paid around $600.

Dealers are good and bad. Sometimes they quote you higher, other times lower for mediocre work. I just recently had to replace the rock guard film on my truck by the wheel base, because it got dirt and other nastiness around the lining. I am not sure where you live, but I went to Tint World and they took off the old and put on new for $40. They did a great job. I have the link below for ya, to see if one is near you, to get an estimate. If not, I would get estimates from other places as well to see what they offer.
