The back seat space was the #1 thing that made me dislike the Tacoma. Seriously it is probably a great vehicle but not sure if the front end needs to be that long. They could have made it a few inches smaller and improved cabin space?

Make sure you come to fully understand the MPG difference and the cost of ownership difference between the two. Once you can accept that (which I did), you'll be okay!

That is crazy. Even with the 285s I can't believe that's even possible. Either your fuel economy is atrocious or he never gets over 2,000rpm on his tundra lol

My mom has a CR-V and honestly it is the best car ever in terms of practicality.

You could have gotten a Double Cab Tundra which has a bigger bed, is better looking and still has more interior room than a Double Cab Useless Bed Taco.

The rattles for sure drive me crazy sometimes. I like to ride around with no music or anything (I enjoy silence sometimes) and they drive me to turning on the radio. Overall though, my Ram didn't work well in the Galleria area of Houston/parking garages work has me parking in, Houston traffic had my ram at 7MPG and my Fiancé's GMC at 12MPG (she is now in a Ford Escape), and the full size wouldn't work out on the trails I have taken to riding. To each there own and I have heard nothing but great things about the Tundra from those I know that own them.

I don't blame you one bit for upgrading. I was trying to decide between a Tundra and Tacoma (I was coming from a 2005 Tundra DC that was the PERFECT size, but was totaled). I liked driving the new Tundra better but convinced myself that the Tacoma would be a better vehicle for me since my driving is 75/25 cty/hwy. Well, my completely stock DCLB TRD OR 4x4 Tacoma gets a wopping 15-16 MPG for the driving I do (and I'm easy on the throttle)...and the interior space feels like it's 1/2 the Tundra. On top of the the erratic eng./trans combo in the Tacoma drove me nutz (better with the OVTune though). I'm kicking myself for not buying the Tundra. I just picked up a low mileage 3rd Gen 4Runner that I'm seriously considering making my DD (and selling the Tacoma) and waiting on the all-new Tundra for 2020...we'll see. Anyway, congrats on the new truck. Life is too short to drive something you don't like.

I used to think the short bed was useless until I owned one. Sure it isn't nearly as large as full size truck beds; but, I can still haul everything I did in a full size including full size sheets of plywood. Just takes a little more forethought.

Yeah I was really surprised at the power this little 1.5 turbo has. Zips around town, up and down hills, corners like a dream with no body roll. Liking my V for sure.

This is my 3rd Tacoma. Before the 3rd I owned two 2nd gen Tacoma’s (2TRD OR and 1 TRD Sport) I think the 2nd gen were roomier in the back. It drove much smoother IMO also.

I'm getting a little under 16 mpg in the city. I live in a hilly area and my commute is all local stop and go. I never got good mpgs even with my truck was stock. If I lived at sea level in a flat area like texas or florida, I'm sure I could get a lot better mpgs.

As far as Texas goes, I get around 20-22 out in Lubbock (West Texas) if not super windy, its super flat but the wind will knock that mpg down to 15 when at 75mph; I get around 16 - 18 mpg when driving to Austin from Houston and 18-20 when driving from Austin to Houston. I get 16-18 in stop and go traffic that is my hour long commute everyday in Houston.
