actually once he puts the japanese fighting fish in each headlight it would be one of a kind mod AND it wouldn't be funky at all. Maybe he can put some type of eco system in there that would make full use of the water in there.

Bought a Bestop this weekend. Took off my bed bars and put this on. Hopefully going to start building my bed drawers this week

 

This is why I just want to eventually do a BHLM, add the upgraded headlight harness sold by a couple companies out there for Toyota’s, and call it a day. Retrofits look very sleek but I’d rather a bulb take a shit than the projector hardware that would require me to breakdown a headlight to repair. The kits sold by reputable vendors seem to have increased tremendously in quality over the past few years though.

 

I added a factory oil cooler to my non-tow-package truck. I found a complete factory kit for $350: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/factory-oil-cooler-parts-kit-for-4-0l.462618/#post-16904832

These parts would normally cost over $650...way over depending on where your buy them. Source One sells "surplus and excess stock" so they may not have these kits available indefinitely.

Moving on to bargain shopping for a factory trans cooler set-up next.

 

Today I got a new exhaust installed. Giving it a few days to get broken in. They put a turbo muffler. It doesn't seem loud enough so they said if I'm not satisfied I can bring it back in a few days and make it louder. I want it to have a nice rumble at idle. I can only really hear it when I have the pedal down.

I had a flow master in my Jeep and loved it. So I am leaning towards that again. Thoughts?

 

Hard to get a rumble out of a V6. I have a flowmaster 50 series and it made the tone a little throatier which was what I expected.

HD or Delta Flow?

 

I put a turbo muffler on, took it off after a week, put a Flowmaster 40 on, exactly what I was looking for.

Drove mine from Cocoa, FL to High Point, NC. Averaged 17.2 mpg (adjusted for oversize tires). I should be picking up my SOS Concepts rear HC w/ swingout on my way home. I'm interested to see what difference I get with the extra weight in the back.

 

Got home from work today to see a package sitting on my front porch and knew exactly what it was, I felt like a kid at Christmas opening my new lift from headstrong offroad. I couldn't be happier and I am beyond pleased with how well everything is packaged the customer service was amazing it was definitely a 10/10 experience! Now I just gotta wait again til I have a day off to get this installed!
