New Guy from Maine

Hello everyone. I'm Bryan from Southern Maine and I purchased my first truck (2005 DC SB TRD O/R, desert sand mica) in October 2017, and I'm so glad I went with the Tacoma. I come from a 14 Focus ST and I was sick of the depreciation and car payment. I was quickly going to be upside down before I paid the car off lol, and it was time for a vehicle that can do more for my life style. I was looking at everything from Rangers to Colorados or even a Chevy 1500. But the Tacoma was the right choice for sure, and I'm glad i went with the 4 door TRD Off Road. My roommate recently made the same switch except it's a 2001 extended cab manual. I know 3 other friends with Tacomas as well, so the choice was obvious, as much as i wanted to consider other trucks.

Purchased from the ORIGINAL OWNER in Massachusetts. After the first 5 minutes of conversation I knew this was my truck. I was even ready to over pay him because the truck was so nice and was getting so much attention. He saved EVERY receipt and it was meticulously cared for. It was the lowest mileage 05 I've seen at 89,000 miles. Garaged it's whole life and did not see much highway because the paint is mint. He also told me the interior was detailed every spring, and it showed. I've never gotten this lucky when it comes to purchasing a used vehicle! It was also his first craigslist deal so he didn't mention a lot of upgrades in the ad, which appealed to me. Namely, the extra rear leaf and leveled suspension on Bilstein 5100s. I was trying to hold off, but couldn't resist adding features to the truck since there are so many affordable options out there. So far my mods are basic but include: always on fogs, LED ditch lights, bed lights, and reverse pods, weathertech mats, mobtown tailgate reinforcement plate, and Amazon mud flaps. You know it won't end there, but I am really happy with my truck right now and it is probably the first time I will keep a vehicle for more than 4 years.
