FYI for Pro owners interested in the WARN bumper... I messaged them this "Hey, I have a 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro. I'm interested in purchasing the Warn 100044 - Warn Winch Mount. I've read online that there may be trouble installing this product due to the factory skid plate on the Tacoma Pro. Before I purchase, I would like to confirm that this won't be an issue. Thank you"

This was the response I got:

I have seen photos of the SSO with the Pro skid.

However, given that the Pro skid retails for nearly $400, you could always take a chance, buy this bumper and if it doesn't work, resell your skid for $250-300 and then have half your bumper cost repaid.

I'd love to see how they work together as I'd like both myself.

    EDIT:

Found a photo of the Warn shown down low. Unless this is weirdly photoshopped you can actually see the OEM cover ever so slightly under the Warn piece.

If you look at the Pro skid it sits considerably under the OEM bumper. There's no way they hit.

If i already have full steel skids and sliders, adding this bumper plus a winch probably ain't gonna happen without upgrading suspension, is it?

You would need new front springs depending on what else your running and how close your tires are at the moment. The skids and sliders not so much, but a winch + this bumper will sag the front ~1/2 inch (which is at time of install and may sag further)

TRD wheels, Michelin Defender LTX tires, Extang solid fold bed cover, OE roof rack added, 32" Caliraised LED light bar behind lower grill, Husky Liner floor mats, OE sliding bed divider, LED strip lights under bed rail, Fumota oil drain valve, TRD Pro skid plate, Warn front bumper, Weathertech in-channel vent visors, Updated TSB front door seals, Glove box and center console organizers,
I got the Summit email also that moved my ship date back to 2-20-18. Considering adding a TRD PRO skid also even if I have to mod it for clearance on Warn bumper. I like the access hole in the TRD pro skid for the oil filter as I have cut hole in OE skid so I don't have to remove skid to change filter.

Cool looking Bumper! Does this bumper only support Warn's wireless winch since it has no winch access holes?

You can access through the hood I imagine, that's what I had to do on a low pro on my Gen 2 since I didn't get the access holes

The warn bumper finally showed up today and I ended up getting a smittybilt XRC 9500 synthetic winch. I'll do the install this weekend and take some photos.

I can't believe the dealer installed the bumper on a '18. The millimeter radar sensor is partially blocked by the hoop on the bumper. Could open themselves up to a liability.

How was the install? Care to share a few details? Did you do it exactly like the instructions say? Looks great.

Yes just followed the instructions. Took a few more extra steps for me since i relocated my light bar and drilled out the bumper and my brcket to fit it where it is. Still need to cut the bottom plastic to install the 2 brackets on the bottom of the bumper and frame but no big deal. When I pick out a winch I'll have to take off my grille, crossbar and latch apart again to bolt the winch up. I did a test run and moved that bar and latch to the side. It wasn't to bad.

How much space is there between it and the skid plate? Trying to understand it the pro skid plate will really need to be cut or not
