    I am wondering if anyone knows the sequence to recode the a new remote. I have a 2005 Tacoma Prerunner. The instructions online are not correct. I have tried several times and nothing. Anyone else have this problem?

    The steps online in this forum are correct.
    If they do not work with your 2005 Tacoma you have an issue with the hardware or the way you are doing it.

    If it's the one which starts with the drivers door open and inserting/removing keys, it should work. I just used it this past weekend on my 2015.
